Youth Rescue Initative

The Youth Rescue Initiative was founded by James Bernazzani, the former FBI Special Agent in Charge of the New Orleans Division. The YRI is a comprehensive endeavor designed to assist at-risk youth in the greater New Orleans area overcome challenges and achieve success. Its mission is to create structured opportunities for positive growth in an effort to build character and discipline among today’s disenfranchised youth, thus improving the quality of life for all citizens of New Orleans. The Youth Rescue Initiative has generously agreed to provide the video cameras that will be used by the students in their projects, and have expressed strong support for the filmmaker’s project.

 

NOVAC (New Orleans Video Access Center)

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to foster the creation and appreciation of film and video for a public of diverse ages, income levels, and backgrounds. They accomplish their mission through education, career development, community outreach, independent productions, and special events. Many local filmmakers have been helped in their endeavors by the tireless efforts of the fine folks who run this organization. NOVAC is currently providing teaching facilities and editing suites for the project’s students.

 

New Orleans Film Commission

Besides helping to support the film logistically and using its vast resources and knowledge to provide tacit backing for the filmmakers, they have also agreed to make a small financial contribution to the project.

 

Boys Town New Orleans

Is one of the oldest and most respected youth organizations in the United States, and have been working in Louisiana for almost ninety years. They have expressed strong support for our project, and the filmmakers will be using one of their children in the project. Their organization has made an in kind contribution to the project.

 

Whole Foods Market

Whole Foods Market has generously donated food & water to our project, to give the kids healthy & wholesome food during the class hours.

 

IATSE Local 478

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Louisiana and Southern Mississippi Chapter has always fought not only for workers rights, but also fairness and equality in the community.  They demonstrated this once again by showing strong support for our project and its mission and making a significant financial contribution to our endeavor.

Silver Screen Supply is a New Orleans-owned movie production supply company that has generously agreed to help our production by providing us with our grip & electric equipment.
